The Orion Nebula

These photos are a bit older and from earlier in the year. It was my first time shooting Nebula with the new camera and my first time doing proper stacking. There was a lot to be desired though, as the lens I was using was an older EF 75-300mm F5.6-8 lens with a mechanical zoom. The lens itself was about 20+ years old so theres lots of fringing and chromatic aberration.

HOWEVER, my R6 still carried me and after putting the stacks together with some light editing, the Nebula revealed itself and I was lost for words that I was able to capture this in my backyard with a Bortle level 5 sky!

Once summer rolls back around, the Orion Nebula will be back up high in the sky and now I have invested some more money into better lenses, I am very confident that I be able to grab some even more impressive shots of this stunning nebula!
